AT&T Blue Room is hosting a contest called 'World's Loudest Pep Rally' in which schools compete for a pep rally featuring a concert by the Dave Matthews Band!
Participating in the contest is simple, but it requires a large amount of participation from the entire student body. Make voting a part of your daily routine!First, go to AT&T Blue Room and set up an account. Then submit invitations to bring the Dave Matthews Band to WSU. Invitations may be sent from September 1 to October 15, 2007. You may submit up to 50 invitations per day.
The school with the most invitations relative to its enrollment will win a free, fully produced concert featuring Dave Matthews Band at the "World's Loudest Pep Rally" during the week of November 12, 2007.
Invitations may come in the following forms:
Photo – Use AT&T Blue Room's simple uploader to submit a
photograph. Each photograph sent from your account constitutes an invitation made on behalf of WSU. The photograph must be in JPEG format and have a maximum width
& height of 500. Judging is based on creativity (40%), humor
(30%), and photo quality (30%).
Essay
– Submit an essay in English or Spanish that constitutes an invite made on behalf of WSU. The essay must be no more than
(2,000) characters in length. Judging is based on creativity (40%),
written expression (30%), and humor (30%).
Video
– Submit a video in English or Spanish that constitutes an invite on behalf of WSU. The video must be no more than
(3) minutes in length, 480x360 or 700kbs in size, and submitted via
HTTP format in one of the following video types: avi, .dv, .mov, .qt,
.mpg, .mpg2, .mpeg, .mpeg2, mpeg4, .mp4, 3gp, 3g2, .asf or .wmv.
Judging is based on creativity (40%), quality of video composition
(30%), and entertainment value (30%).
Audio – Submit a digital recording in English or Spanish that constitutes an invite made on behalf of WSU. The recording must be no more than (3) minutes in length and be one of the following audio types: mp3, .wav, .wma, QCELP or AMR-NB format. Judging is based on creativity (40%), quality of audio composition (30%), and entertainment value (30%).
Text Message - Text message the keyword “DMB” to “959” using an AT&T wireless handset. Once you send the text message, you will receive instructions on how to select the school where you want the concert to occur. NOTE: Standard data and text messaging charges apply.
NOTE TO AT&T CUSTOMERS: You may text 50 votes AND submit 50 votes online IN THE SAME DAY -- EVERYDAY! That means 100 votes per day if you have an AT&T mobile phone.
In addition, the Dave Matthews Band will be featuring selected invitations on their MySpace page, and the DMB Website. AT&T will also feature invitations on the college section of their Blue Room site.
